Station Cab was founded in 1926 and has operated continuously in the Rahway area as a fourth-generation family-owned business for over 85 years. For the first 40 years, the company operated just 1-3 taxis, but began to gradually expand operations beginning in 1967. A dispatch office at the Pennsylvania Railroad Station on East Milton Ave. became operational in June of that year and the company continues to operate from this location today. By 1975, the company had expanded to include a fleet of 15 vehicles. This expansion necessitated the 1973 purchase of a maintenance facility at 27 West Hazelwood Avenue, which today serves as the company headquarters.
By 2000, the size of Station Cab grew to include 23 Ford Crown Victoria cabs and 7 late-model Ford E350 14-passenger vans. Today, the company continues to provide safe and dependable transportation services to customers in southeast Union County and northern Middlesex County areas.
